Advice to Youth

As an athlete growing up in Maumee, Ohio, a suburb of Toledo, Ohio, Mike Teifke was inspired by football greats Jim Brown and Lou Groza of the Cleveland Browns.  He saw many great players play on the field of the historic Cleveland Municipal Stadium and saw many Championships won.  His dream of playing for his team and on his field of dreams happened on October 11, 1987.  On this day his dream was made into a reality.

So, how can one achieve their dreams?  How can one make their own reality?  Is it possible to make it past the pitfalls of youth and come out wiser and stronger?  What advice could Ex Cleveland Browns Mike Teifke give to our future generations?

When asked what wisdom could he pass on to kids in today’s society, he smiled.  “The most important thing that young people today need to understand is that ethics leads to survival.  What you do now can affect you for many years to come.  Ultimately the decisions you make are yours.  It is your decision to be ethical or unethical, and it is your decision to create a good life of abundance and survival.  No one can make that decision for you, but you.  You have the power within you to rise above and to achieve your dreams.  The choice is yours to make.  Choose well.”  said Mike Teifke.

We all have decisions to make, and we all have a choice.  What will you choose?  Interesting concept.
